Where is Gymshark
Gymshark's global headquarters, GSHQ, is at 3 Central Boulevard on Blythe Valley Park, off junction 4 of the M42 at Shirley on the southern edge of Solihull.
Alongside the offices are the GSIQ innovation centre and Gymshark Lifting Club, the company's own gym.
GSHQ is a head office, not a satellite branch, so the roles based here are the functions that run the business globally rather than local support jobs.
It has no railway station, so plan the journey before you commit. Our guide to working at Blythe Valley Park covers the free peak-time shuttle from Birmingham International, the hourly bus routes and the parking arrangements.
Not every Gymshark job is in Solihull
Gymshark's careers site lists vacancies across Solihull, London, Denver, Hong Kong and Mauritius.
Retail roles are recruited through a separate Retail Hub and are overwhelmingly tied to the Regent Street flagship store in London, not Solihull.
Warehouse, picking and packing work carrying the Gymshark name is generally advertised by third-party logistics partners at their own sites rather than by Gymshark at GSHQ.
A Gymshark warehouse job is usually neither a Gymshark contract nor in Solihull.
What Gymshark actually recruits for at GSHQ
Because this is the head office of a direct-to-consumer brand, the hiring concentrates in a fairly narrow set of functions.
- E-commerce and digital trading. Site merchandising, conversion, trading calendars, CRM
- Performance marketing and brand. Paid social, influencer and athlete partnerships, community
- Creative and content. Design, video, photography, copy
- Product. Apparel design, garment technology, buying and merchandising, sourcing
- Supply chain and operations. Planning, logistics, inventory
- Technology and data. Software engineering, analytics, platform and systems
- Corporate functions. Finance, legal, people, customer service
The bulk of GSHQ vacancies are mid-level and senior specialist roles that expect relevant sector experience, often from another consumer brand or e-commerce business.
There are fewer entry level roles in customer service, junior creative and marketing roles, and placement years. Gymshark does take placement students.
The package
Gymshark publishes its benefits in unusual detail, which makes it easier to judge an offer than at most employers.
The advertised package includes:
- 50% Gymshark discount, plus a gift card for each year of service
- 25 days holiday plus your birthday off, with bank holidays that can be substituted and banked to take when you choose
- Private medical insurance with no excess, and dental cover through a flexible benefits programme
- Employer pension contributions up to 7% and life assurance at four times basic salary
- A 'Win Together, Lose Together' company bonus
- 10% of your time allocated to personal development
- Salary sacrifice options including an EV scheme, cycle to work, tech scheme and holiday trading
- Enhanced family leave, and wellbeing support built around five pillars with trained Mental Health First Aiders
Packages change and vary by role, so read the specific advert rather than relying on this list.
Flexible working
Gymshark describes its approach as a genuinely flexible working culture rather than a fixed number of office days, and says the pattern is set by role and team. It means there is no company wide mandate to argue against, but it also means the expectation is entirely down to your line manager.
Ask directly, in the first conversation, how many days that specific team is on site.
The five values, and why they decide interviews
- Be human. Accessible, inclusive, humble
- Give a shit. Conscious of the wider world, proactive about positive change
- Do the right thing. Honest, trustworthy, genuine
- Find the Gymshark way. Ambitious, agile, disruptive, keeping the original garage mentality
- Put family first. Unconditionally
Prepare one concrete example against each before you interview.
The application process, stage by stage
- Application. Mostly yes/no questions, your CV, and one free-text question: Why Gymshark? Reviewed by both the Talent team and the hiring manager.
- Automated video interview. Recorded, not live, you answer set questions to camera in your own time.
- About you call. An informal chat with the recruiter.
- First interview. Focused on how you work and what motivates you.
- Second interview. A deeper dive, often with a task or presentation.
Some routes use an assessment centre, and Gymshark publishes an Assessment Centre Guide on its careers site.
How to answer 'Why Gymshark?'
This is the one free text field on the application and the highest leverage 200 words you will write.
Most answers say the applicant loves the brand and trains regularly. That tells the Talent team nothing and describes several thousand other applicants.
What works is specificity about the business rather than the products. A view on a recent campaign or product drop and why it worked, an observation about how the site merchandises, something about the shift from pure direct-to-consumer into physical retail, or a genuine point of difference you would bring to the team you are applying to.
Reference the actual role and be aware Gymshark states plainly in its own FAQs that you do not need to be a gym-goer to work there.
