You'll have the freedom to put your own stamp on the role, modernise ways of working and build robust financial processes that support a growing organisation.

Description

The organisation has growth plans, a strong and engaged leadership team, and a healthy appetite for using finance as a strategic partner across the business. Finance is involved in key decision making, major tender opportunities and organisational planning.

You'll play a leading role in:

Developing and improving finance processes, controls and reporting
Simplifying systems and reducing reliance on complex workarounds
Supporting contract tendering and commercial decision making
Delivering financial modelling for new business opportunities
Partnering with senior leaders to assess costs, resource requirements and service viability
Strengthening cashflow management and working capital performance
Leading, developing and supporting a committed finance team
Driving continuous improvement across the finance function

Profile

We're looking for a finance professional with experience leading a finance team and partnering with senior stakeholders. You will bring:

Strong financial management and reporting experience
Experience driving process improvement and change
Financial modelling and analytical skills
Commercial awareness and business partnering capability
The ability to communicate financial information in a clear and engaging way
A proactive, hands-on approach
Experience within the charity, education, social care, housing or other not for profit sectors would be advantageous but is not essential

Job Offer

37.5 hour working week.
28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
Liverpool 2/3 days office working per week
