Sales Executive – Insurance Training Provided
Takeley, Essex | From £30,000 Basic + Commission | Permanent

CKB Recruitment is working with an established insurance agency in Takeley to recruit a Sales Executive.

This is a development opportunity for someone with enthusiasm, initiative and the potential to become a successful sales professional. Full training on the insurance side will be provided, with a structured training plan to help you build your product knowledge and confidence.

You may already have some sales or customer-facing experience, or be looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your potential. What matters is your willingness to learn, your ability to build relationships and your motivation to generate new business.

The opportunity

As your knowledge develops, you’ll help grow the agency’s commercial client base by identifying prospects, starting conversations and understanding what businesses need from their insurance.

With training and support, you’ll learn to:

Generate your own sales opportunities and build a pipeline of prospective clients.
Speak confidently with business owners, directors and decision-makers.
Understand a client’s business and identify suitable insurance solutions.
Explain the benefits of products and personal service.
Win new commercial clients across target sectors outside farming.
Identify opportunities for additional products and services, including motor and personal insurance, risk management and financial services.
Maintain accurate CRM records and work effectively within a regulated industry.

Experienced account handlers will support the clients you bring into the business when their policies come up for renewal.

What we’re looking for

Previous insurance experience is not required. This role is aimed at someone with the potential and attitude to develop into a capable sales professional.

You’ll need:

Confidence communicating with people and building new relationships.
Enthusiasm, initiative and the motivation to create opportunities.
A willingness to learn, retain information and develop your sales skills.
A customer-focused approach and pride in providing a good service.
Organisation and the ability to keep track of prospects and follow-ups.
Confidence using computer systems and learning CRM software.

You’ll also need at least five GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics, meeting the employer’s stated minimum grade requirements.

The package

Starting salary from £30,000, depending on experience.
5% commission on commercial new business sold.
An extensive training plan, including full insurance product training.
25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
An additional day off for your birthday.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Reduced or condensed hours may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
