We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join a growing, successful business providing technical services and solutions to the UK construction industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys B2B sales, outbound calling, and developing customer relationships. You’ll be responsible for generating new business opportunities while also managing and growing an established portfolio of customers.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Executive, you will:

Make proactive outbound calls to prospective B2B customers
Identify key decision-makers and generate new business opportunities
Qualify prospects to understand their requirements, budgets and upcoming projects
Book qualified appointments and opportunities for field-based Business Development Managers
Manage and develop an existing portfolio of smaller B2B accounts
Re-engage dormant customers and identify opportunities to increase spend
Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
Respond to sales enquiries, quotes and orders generated through your activity
Maintain accurate customer and sales information within the CRM
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers across the UK

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

Previous experience within B2B telesales, internal sales, lead generation or business development
Proven experience making outbound calls and working towards sales targets
Confidence overcoming objections and speaking with key decision-makers
A strong telephone manner with excellent rapport-building and questioning skills
The ability to identify and qualify genuine commercial opportunities
Good organisational and time-management skills
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach to sales

Experience within construction supplies, plant hire, tool hire, technical services, engineering or industrial sectors would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Previous experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Appointment Setter, Telesales Executive, Internal Sales Executive or Business Development Executive would also be highly relevant.

Additional Information

This is a proactive sales position and will suit someone who genuinely enjoys picking up the phone, building relationships and creating commercial opportunities. The role has a target of approximately 35 proactive outbound calls per day, split between new business development and existing account management.
