Sales Executive

Location: Peterborough
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

Interaction Recruitment is supporting a well-established, independent organisation in Peterborough with the recruitment of several Sales Executives.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for confident and commercially minded individuals to join its established sales team.

This is a consultative sales position combining warm lead conversion, new business development and relationship management. You will speak with prospective and existing customers to understand their requirements, explain the available options and deliver a consistently professional service.

Full product and industry training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced salesperson or a confident customer service professional looking to take the next step in their career.

Key responsibilities

Convert warm leads and incoming enquiries into sales.
Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities.
Handle inbound enquiries and make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers.
Understand individual customer requirements and explain suitable products and services.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services.
Build trusted, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
Develop productive relationships with commercial partners and intermediaries.
Arrange and manage appointments with prospective and existing business partners.
Prepare accurate quotations and supporting documentation.
Follow up on enquiries and opportunities within agreed timescales.
Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
Work towards individual and team sales targets.
Monitor competitor activity and relevant market developments.
Represent the organisation professionally at meetings and industry events.
Follow all relevant regulatory requirements, internal procedures and company policies.
Support the wider team with reporting, administration and business projects.

About you

We are looking for motivated and organised individuals who enjoy speaking with customers, developing relationships and working towards targets.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in sales, business development, account management or a target-driven customer service role.
Confidence handling inbound enquiries and making outbound calls.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to understand customer needs and explain available options clearly.
A proactive approach to developing and progressing sales opportunities.
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities.
Accurate administrative and record-keeping skills.
A professional, trustworthy and customer-focused approach.
The motivation to meet targets and take responsibility for your performance.
Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Previous experience within a regulated environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
