Location: Dartford, Kent
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm/ 30 minute lunch
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

Are you a highly organised and proactive administrator looking to build your career within a successful international manufacturing business?

Due to an upcoming retirement, our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales & Logistics Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills across sales support, logistics, customer service, and export administration while working for a well-established manufacturer with a global customer base.

This varied role would suit someone with strong administrative experience who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service and maintaining high levels of accuracy.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will play a key role in supporting the sales and logistics functions of the business. You will be involved in customer communications, order processing, shipment coordination, export documentation, and general administration, helping to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Handling incoming calls and emails, responding to enquiries or directing them appropriately
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Supporting the sales team with order acknowledgements and confirmations
Coordinating and tracking product samples
Preparing shipping and export documentation
Arranging transport and shipment bookings
Providing general administrative support across the business
Assisting with additional duties as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous administration experience, ideally within sales support, customer service, logistics, manufacturing, or export environments
Experience within export, shipping, logistics, or international sales
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A positive, proactive, and professional approach to work

Desirable Experience

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

Knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures
Experience using ERP, MRP, CRM, or order management systems
Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade procedures
Experience liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and overseas customers
Additional language skills, particularly European languages
Manufacturing or industrial sector experience
