Description

Manage procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards are met.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and reliable supply chains.
Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and potential cost savings.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues to maintain service levels.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.
Track and report on key procurement metrics to support decision-making.
Stay updated on industry trends to inform procurement strategies and practices.

Profile

A successful Category Buyer should have:

Experience in a Buyer role, particularly within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ability to analyse market trends and apply findings to procurement strategies.
Proficiency in relevant procurement tools and software.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
