An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and commercially minded individual to join a growing business in an office-based sales role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of an established customer base across the UK.This is an excellent opportunity for a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships, developing accounts and delivering exceptional customer service. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this an ideal position for someone looking to further develop their sales career within a fast-paced commercial environment.

Your new role

Build and develop long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity.
Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts.
Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate product and service solutions.
Deliver market information and commercial insights to support customer decision-making.
Work closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure customer needs are met.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
Achieve individual sales and growth targets.
Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
Support wider office operations as required.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within sales, telesales, customer service, account management or business development.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.

Desirable

Experience within a business-to-business sales environment.
Experience developing customer accounts.
Knowledge of commodity, manufacturing, distribution or related industries.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced commercial setting.
