About you

If you are organised, approachable and enjoy being the person who keeps everything moving behind the scenes, this could be a really good opportunity for you.

You will be joining an established interior fit out business as a Project Administrator, supporting the Projects team across multiple live projects. You do not need years of experience in construction or fit out. If you have good administration skills, are confident using a computer and have the right attitude, they are happy to consider someone who is earlier in their career.

The role is office based at Fradley Park, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch, with a salary of £25,000.

Your experience

You will ideally have some previous administration experience, although this is not essential. What is more important is that you are organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for getting things done.

You will need good written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to stay calm when there are multiple things happening at once. You should be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel and generally confident working with computer systems and databases.

You will also need to be someone who can work independently when required, while being equally comfortable working as part of a wider team. Previous experience within construction, interior fit out, project administration or document control would be useful, but you will be given the opportunity to learn the industry.

What you will be doing with your experience

You will be supporting the Projects team with the administration that keeps their interior fit out projects running smoothly.

This will include maintaining project documentation, filing and document control, updating internal databases and external websites, entering data and keeping records accurate. You will also take ownership of specific projects and tasks, making sure things are followed through and completed on time.

There will be plenty of variety in the role. You will answer calls, deal with enquiries, arrange site access and permits, raise purchase orders using Microsoft Access and prepare project documents. You will also liaise with other departments and external organisations, while supporting the Office Manager with various projects and day to day duties.

It is a role where being organised really matters. By keeping the administration under control, you will allow the Project team to spend more of their time focused on delivering projects rather than chasing paperwork and processes.

About the business

You will be joining an established business operating within the interior fit out sector, delivering multiple projects for its clients. The Projects team is busy and manages a number of schemes at any one time, which means the administration function plays an important part in keeping everything organised.
