Receptionist / Administrator - Temporary - 8 weeks (possibly longer)
£15.33 an hour

Bournemouth (Talbot Campus)Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday - parking on site if needed - to start 7th September

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, professional Receptionist to provide a first-class front-of-house service for students, staff and visitors. This is a varied role where you'll be the first point of contact, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy university environment.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and assist visitors, students and staff
Answer enquiries in person, by telephone and email
Manage visitor sign-in procedures, permits and documentation
Maintain records and update internal databases
Issue and track keys and access cards
Coordinate meeting and visitor schedules
Liaise with facilities and maintenance teams
Support administrative and postal duties
Monitor CCTV and assist with building safety procedures when required

About You

You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys helping people and thrives in a busy environment. You'll be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.

We're looking for:

Previous reception, front-of-house or customer service experience
Strong Microsoft Office and IT skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Great attention to detail and organisation skills
A positive, flexible and customer-focused approach
