Warehouse Manager - Night Shift - Poole - £36,000-£40,000
TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of a busy twilight picking and despatch operation in Poole.
Previous warehouse or distribution management experience is essential.
You'll manage a team of 10-16 Warehouse Operatives, taking responsibility for the full shift - people, productivity, picking accuracy and ensuring orders are ready for despatch on time.
Hours & Salary
- £36,000-£40,000
- 5pm-2:30am
- 45 hours per week
- Sunday-Friday with one night off each week
- Permanent
The Role
- Lead and manage a team of 10-16
- Oversee picking, packing and despatch
- Ensure orders are ready in the loading bays for 2am
- Manage productivity, performance, attendance and standards
- Complete rotas, reviews, investigations and disciplinaries
- Work alongside the team when operational support is needed
- Support improvements to warehouse systems, scanning and efficiency
- Complete handovers with the Transport team
What We're Looking For
- Warehouse/distribution management or supervisory experience - essential
- Strong picking, packing and despatch knowledge
- Confident people manager who can take ownership of a shift
- Experience managing performance and productivity
- Comfortable working night/twilight hours
- Food/FMCG or chilled/frozen experience advantageous
- WMS/handheld scanner experience advantageous
- Counterbalance/Reach licence beneficial, but training can be provided
