Location: Healthcare Facility, Surrey

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

Overview

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Estates and Facilities team within a healthcare facility in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a critical environment, supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of building electrical systems across the site.

Working closely with the Estates Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare facility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems and equipment across the site.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
  • Ensure all electrical installations and systems comply with current regulations and healthcare standards.
  • Support compliance with statutory inspections, testing, and certification requirements.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and prioritise critical systems within a healthcare environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out using relevant systems.
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams to support the delivery of engineering works.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times, particularly within a live operational environment.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or current equivalent).
  • Proven experience in building services maintenance or a similar environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Previous experience within a healthcare or other critical environment is desirable.
