Credit Controller – Central Nottingham
£35,000+ | 37.5 hours | Excellent benefits
SF Partners is working with a fantastic business in Central Nottingham to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their ledger, building strong relationships with clients and having real visibility within a business. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and wider team, with the chance to make an immediate impact from day one.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and recovering outstanding debt across your own accounts
- Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Resolving invoice and payment queries quickly and professionally
- Checking and issuing monthly sales invoices
- Preparing monthly debtor reports and weekly updates for Directors
- Maintaining sales invoicing reports and cashflow information
- Posting customer receipts and recording remittances
- Supporting with legal recovery action where required
- Working closely with the Finance Director on ad hoc reporting and analysis
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience within Credit Control, Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
- A proactive approach to debt collection and query resolution
- Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- Xero experience would be an advantage
- Experience within professional services or construction would be beneficial, but is not essential
