VGC are recruiting on behalf of a leading marine infrastructure organisation for a Framework Manager to support the delivery of the Ministry of Defence's Navy Future Dredging Capability (NFDC) Framework.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marine professional with a background in marine construction, dredging, offshore operations or vessel-based project delivery to take ownership of a nationally significant framework supporting critical naval infrastructure.
The successful candidate will act as the primary client contact, leading operational delivery, contract management, commercial performance and stakeholder engagement across a range of marine campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the successful delivery of marine and dredging campaigns.
Manage vessel resources, marine personnel and project teams.
Act as the key point of contact for the client and framework stakeholders.
Oversee NEC/FIDIC contract administration and governance.
Coordinate mobilisation activities and campaign planning.
Manage commercial performance including budgets, forecasts and variations.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
Chair governance meetings and provide performance reporting.
Drive continuous improvement across operational and contractual performance.
About You
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience gained within:
Marine construction
Dredging operations
Offshore projects
Ports and harbour works
Coastal infrastructure
Vessel operations
You will ideally have:
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Experience managing marine or vessel-based projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or similar contracts.
- Proven client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with budget and financial management experience.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance.
Desirable
- Defence or Government client experience.
- Chartered status.
- APM, PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification.
- Experience managing dredgers, multicats, barges, survey vessels or other marine assets.
