As a Buyer in the manufacturing industry, you'll play a key role in managing procurement activities to ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain. This permanent position focuses on sourcing the right products, negotiating deals, and supporting the business's purchasing needs.

This company operates within the manufacturing and production industry in Chatham, focusing on procurement and supply chain processes.

Description

Source and select products that meet the company's quality and cost requirements.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value.
Maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
Analyse market trends to identify new opportunities for procurement.
Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure supply chain efficiency.
Resolve any supply issues in a timely and effective manner.

Profile

A successful Buyer will have experience in the above and be on short notice.

Job Offer

Salary between £25,000 and £30,000, dependent on the level of experience.
Permanent contract with a 20-25 hour work week over 5 days.
Opportunities to develop procurement expertise within the retail industry.
