Sales Consultant
Location: Slough (Office based)

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and commercially driven Sales Consultant to join a growing sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for attending qualified appointments generated by the internal telesales team, whilst also proactively generating their own new business opportunities to maintain a healthy pipeline. In addition, you will manage and develop existing client accounts, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen customer relationships.
This is a consultative sales role requiring a strong understanding of managed print services and the ability to engage decision-makers, understand client requirements, and present tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

Attend pre-qualified sales appointments arranged by the telesales team.
Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities.
Conduct fact-finding meetings to understand customer environments, current suppliers, contract terms, and business challenges.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.

Account Management

Manage and develop a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the client base.
Build long-term relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.

CRM & Pipeline Management

Maintain accurate records within the CRM system.
Add and update company and contact information.
Record customer requirements, existing infrastructure, contract details, and identified opportunities.
Ensure all sales activity, meetings, actions, and follow-ups are accurately documented.
Effectively manage opportunities through the sales cycle to completion.

Proposal & Solution Development

Produce professional client proposals and commercial quotations.
Create solution recommendations using pricing tools and supporting documentation.
Present proposals to customers and negotiate terms where required.
Work closely with senior leadership to review and finalise proposals prior to issue.

Sales Administration

Complete all contractual and sales order processing documentation accurately.
Ensure all customer interactions and sales opportunities are logged and tracked.
Support the wider sales team in achieving overall business objectives.

Performance Measures

You will be measured against a range of KPIs including:

New business meetings attended
Self-generated meetings secured
Sales conversions
Pipeline growth
Call activity
Gross profit generation
Revenue performance

Regular pipeline and performance reviews will be conducted with senior management.

About You

Essential Experience

Proven B2B sales experience within Managed Print Services (MPS), document solutions, office technology, IT services, telecommunications, or a related sector.
Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Experience managing both new business and existing client relationships.
Strong consultative selling and solution-based sales skills.

Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong prospecting and lead-generation capabilities.
Ability to explain technical and service-based solutions in a clear and customer-focused manner.
Highly organised with strong time-management skills.
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven.
Ability to build credibility and relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Additional Requirements

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
Right to work in the UK.
Ability to work from the Slough office when not attending customer meetings.

Package

Basic Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Commission: 30% of allocated gross profit generated from completed deals (subject to commission threshold)
OTE: £90,000+
Permanent, full-time position
