Description

Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business goals.
Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors.
Lead and mentor the accounting team to maintain high performance standards.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making within the organisation.
Review and optimise internal financial controls and systems.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

A professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of financial compliance.
Proven experience in managing financial operations within a business services environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data effectively.
The ability to lead and develop a team, fostering a collaborative working environment.
Strong communication skills to present financial insights clearly to stakeholders.
Proficiency in financial software and tools to streamline processes.

Job Offer

Salary between £70,000 and £80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
Permanent role based in Reading.
