Sales Executive

Location: Cardiff City Centre - Fully Onsite
Salary: £28,000
OTE: £40,000

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a successful and growing organisation in Cardiff with the recruitment of a Telesales Executive to join their New Business Sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced outbound sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and taking ownership of the sales process from initial conversation through to close.

This is consultative B2B sales rather than a high-pressure, one-call-close environment. You will be provided with targeted prospect data and will be responsible for turning those opportunities into qualified prospects and new business partnerships.

The Role

As a Telesales Executive, you will be responsible for generating and converting new business opportunities through structured outbound activity.

You will work closely with business decision-makers, understanding their requirements, qualifying opportunities and demonstrating how the organisation's proposition can support their needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

Conducting regular outbound calls to relevant business decision-makers and confidently navigating gatekeepers.
Building rapport and credibility quickly with prospective customers.
Running discovery conversations to understand business needs, requirements and suitability.
Qualifying prospects and identifying genuine new business opportunities.
Explaining the company's proposition and handling routine objections professionally.
Managing a pipeline of opportunities from initial contact through to follow-up, close and sign-up.
Taking personal ownership of opportunities throughout the sales process, with handover to Partner Support only once the sale has been completed.
Maintaining accurate CRM records, including sales stages, next actions, activity and forecast information.
Managing multiple contacts and opportunities through a structured, multi-touch sales cycle.
Ensuring all customer interactions, CRM records and handovers meet the required quality standards.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven experience in outbound sales, business development or a similar commercial role.

You will ideally have:

Experience of cold calling or proactive prospecting within a sales environment.
A proven ability to personally manage opportunities from initial contact through to close.
Experience engaging with business decision-makers and conducting consultative sales conversations.
A track record of working towards individual sales targets and taking ownership of your own pipeline.
Experience managing opportunities through multiple stages and maintaining consistent follow-up.
Resilience and confidence when dealing with objections and rejection.
A professional, consultative approach to selling rather than relying on high-pressure sales techniques.
Good commercial judgement and the ability to recognise when an opportunity is worth pursuing.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with a wide range of business contacts.
