A well-established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced and proactive Internal Sales Coordinator to support its commercial team and contribute to ongoing business growth. This is a varied, customer-focused role that combines internal sales, account coordination and business development support. Working closely with both customers and the field sales team, you will play a key role in generating opportunities, progressing quotations, coordinating customer activities and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Your new roleAs a Internal Sales Coordinator, your role will involve:

Proactively contact customers to arrange review meetings, product demonstrations and identify new opportunities for the external sales team.
Coordinate appointments and customer visits on behalf of field-based sales representatives.
Follow up quotations and proposals, obtaining feedback and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline.
Coordinate product trial programmes, ensuring customers receive appropriate support throughout the evaluation process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and commercial partners through regular communication.
Accurately maintain customer records, appointments, quotations and pipeline activity within the CRM system.
Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue through proactive customer engagement.
Support the coordination of customer implementations, including delivery scheduling, product installation, training and aftercare activities.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure effective communication and timely customer responses.
Provide administrative and commercial support to the wider sales function.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within an Internal Sales, Sales Support, Telesales or Account Coordination role.
Demonstrable experience proactively contacting customers to arrange meetings and follow-up quotations.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer records.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
A proactive and customer-focused approach.
Experience working within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Understanding of sales processes, quotation management and opportunity tracking.
Experience supporting field-based sales teams.
Knowledge of dealer, distributor or partner networks.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Confident and professional communicator.
Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
Commercially aware and results-driven.
Highly organised and able to work independently.
A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting both customers and colleagues.
