Are you an experienced Production or Manufacturing Engineer looking for a role where you can make a tangible impact on products, processes, and operational performance?

We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team, taking a leading role in supporting manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a highly visible position that sits at the heart of the business, acting as the key technical interface between Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams. You'll play a critical role in product lifecycle management, configuration control, engineering change management, and manufacturing process improvement, helping to shape the future of innovative technology products.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Production Engineer, you will:

Act as the primary technical liaison between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Commercial teams
Lead the creation, validation, and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs), product structures, and part numbering systems
Own and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring effective implementation across the business
Drive configuration management activities, ensuring full product traceability and compliance
Take responsibility for manufacturing data packs and engineering documentation
Coordinate and implement mechanical and electrical/electronic product updates
Monitor component obsolescence and identify suitable replacement solutions to minimise supply chain risk
Develop and continuously improve assembly instructions and manufacturing processes
Lead investigations into production issues and implement corrective actions
Support Sales and Commercial teams with product configurations and technical data
Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and production personnel
Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with professionals who have:

Proven experience in a Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, NPI Engineering, or similar role
Strong knowledge of BOM management, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and configuration control
Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a complex engineering environment
A track record of driving continuous improvement and solving production challenges
Experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of product lifecycle management, change control, and obsolescence management
Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation and engineering data systems
Experience using ERP/MRP systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
The ability to influence stakeholders and drive engineering best practice

Desirable Experience

Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Manufacturing Engineering background
Experience implementing product design updates into production environments
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies
Experience mentoring engineers or technicians
RF knowledge would be highly advantageous

Qualifications

HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certifications are desirable
