Are you an organised and customer-focused administrator who enjoys helping people and building positive relationships?

We're recruiting for a Customer Service Administrator to join a friendly and supportive team within a well-established business based in Gateshead.

You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the business, making every day different and giving you the opportunity to develop valuable customer service and administration skills in a busy and rewarding environment.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week), office based

About the Role

As a Customer Service Administrator, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience, ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, orders are processed accurately and customers remain informed throughout their journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email
Providing customers with updates regarding their orders and deliveries
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Managing customer records and updating internal systems
Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
Resolving customer queries and escalating issues where appropriate
Monitoring orders and helping to ensure deadlines are met
Uploading and maintaining customer documentation
Supporting the wider team with general administration duties
Building positive relationships with customers through excellent service
Ensuring every customer receives a professional, friendly and helpful experience

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys helping customers, takes pride in delivering a high level of service and can stay organised in a busy environment. You may have gained your experience in customer service, administration, retail, hospitality, contact centre or office-based roles and be looking for an opportunity to build your career within a supportive business.

You'll also have:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Confidence communicating with customers by phone and email
Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems
The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
A genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service
