Care Assistant

Lockerbie

A care home on the outskirts of Dumfries in Lockerbie is currently requires an experienced Care Assistant to work on a permanent basis.

Details of this Care Assistant vacancy and what the successful candidate can expect to receive:

Permanent contract working 22-44 hours per week
12-hour day or night shifts available:
- Day shifts: 8am-8pm
- Night shifts: 8pm-8am
Competitive hourly pay rate of £13.45 per hour, with the potential to earn up to £30,773.60 per year
A fantastic working environment
Excellent transport links - situated on a good bus route, with a dedicated bus service picking up from Lockerbie and Annan
Free on-site parking available for all staff

As a Care Assistant you will oversee and maintain the care of the service users, and support the Home Manager, Deputy Manager, and Senior Carers with the general running of the service.

What we are looking for in a Care Assistant:

Have a caring and empathetic nature.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Are reliable, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high standards of care.
Hold a [Care Certificate/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent] in Health and Social Care (preferred but not essential).
Have the right to work in the UK.
Even if you haven't worked as a carer but have experience in care and are eager to learn, we encourage you to apply
