Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker – Witney, Oxfordshire

Location: Witney

Salary: £31,493 to £34,495 (sleep allowance included)

Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Residential Support Worker in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting young people's social, emotional, and behavioural development within a safe and caring environment. Key Responsibilities:

Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, tailored to their age.
Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
Safely manage challenging behaviours when necessary.
Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
Support young people in developing independence and well-being.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
Support and manage challenging behaviour sympathetically and safely.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
Must hold a full UK manual driver’s licence, as transportation of young people is required.
Must be over the age of 21.
Ability to commute to Witney
