Temporary Office Administrator

Walkden, Worsley (Parking Onsite)

Monday - Friday

7am-4pm

£14 per hour

Our client, a leading global engineering organisation based in Walkden, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Reception & Admin Support professional to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities:

As the first point of contact for all visitors and employees, you will play a vital role in ensuring a warm welcome and efficient reception service. Your day-to-day activities will include:

Reception and Front of House:

Welcome Visitors: Greet clients, guests and suppliers with a warm smile, ensuring they adhere to security protocols by signing in. Offer refreshments as needed to create a hospitable atmosphere.
PPE Management: Issue relevant personal protective equipment to visitors, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Emergency Preparedness: Take roll calls of visitors in case of emergency situations, contributing to a safe environment.
Maintain Front Desk Area: Keep the reception area, lobby and main meeting rooms tidy, presentable and fully stocked with necessary materials.
Meeting Room Management: Coordinate the booking calendar for conference rooms and prepare these spaces prior to meetings.

Administration Duties:

Post and Deliveries: Sort and distribute incoming post and packages daily, prepare outgoing post, arrange couriers and handle special deliveries efficiently.
Office Supplies Management: Monitor inventory levels for office stationery, kitchen supplies and printing materials, placing orders when stocks run low.
Data Entry and Filing: Update company databases, spreadsheets and electronic filing systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
General Clerical Tasks: Assist team members with photocopying, scanning, printing and binding documents as needed.
Team Support: Help arrange catering for lunch and transportation for visitors, ensuring a seamless experience.
Event Coordination: Support in organising team social events for a positive workplace culture.
Health and Safety Updates: Keep health and safety records up to date and manage confidential health information responsibly.
Uniform Ordering: Assist with ordering uniforms, contributing to a professional appearance for the team.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess:

Proven experience in a similar administrative role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational abilities and a knack for multitasking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management.
A proactive approach, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to evolving tasks.

Due to the location of our client, applicants must either be local to Walkden or be a driver!
