Medical Secretary - Part-Time (Temporary basis - initially 8 weeks)

We are seeking a professional, friendly and organised Medical Secretary to join a busy healthcare setting in Broadstairs. This is a part-time temporary opportunity, working 3 days per week, with flexibility around the days and hours.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor patient appointments, bookings and hospital admissions using relevant electronic systems.
Action, track and follow up referrals, including urgent and fast-track referrals.
Prepare and send relevant documentation to patients and external healthcare providers.
Respond appropriately to patient queries relating to referrals and appointments.
Monitor electronic workflows and complete administrative tasks accurately and within required timescales.
Process information access requests and third-party requests in line with relevant procedures.
Assist with the processing of medical documentation, including death certificates and cremation forms, liaising with relevant parties where required.
Retrieve medical records and assist with the completion of medical and insurance documentation.
Request and follow up patient test and blood results.
Maintain accurate and confidential records at all times.

About You

Previous medical administration or medical secretarial experience is desirable.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently and managing a varied workload.
Calm, professional and approachable manner.
Reliable, consistent and able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Confident using computerised systems and administrative software.

Pay: £13.15 per hour

Weekly pay whilst temping

On-site parking

A DBS check will be required for this position.
