Sales Executive (Automotive / Commercial Vehicles)

Doncaster | Full Time | Permanent, OTE £40k+ (up to £35k basic + Commission) + Expenses

Our client is a specialist vehicle conversion company that designs and delivers bespoke commercial vehicle solutions for customers across a wide range of industries throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated Sales Executive to join their team in Doncaster.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the automotive, commercial vehicle, fleet, leasing, rental or vehicle services sector who is looking to develop a long-term career in business development and account management.

Full product and industry training will be provided, giving you the knowledge and support needed to succeed in a specialist and growing sector.

The role:

Working alongside an experienced sales team, you will play an important role in developing new business opportunities and building relationships with organisations that operate commercial vehicle fleets.

Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying and developing new business opportunities across fleet, leasing, utilities, construction, civil engineering and commercial vehicle sectors.

Opening doors and creating new commercial opportunities.

Building relationships with potential customers through telephone, email, LinkedIn and face-to-face meetings.

Following up enquiries and converting opportunities into sales.

Understanding customer vehicle requirements and proposing suitable conversion solutions.

Managing opportunities through the sales process using the company CRM system.

Preparing quotations and supporting proposals with assistance from the wider team.

Attending customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events across the UK.

Working closely with internal departments to ensure customers receive an excellent service throughout the sales journey.

About you:

We are keen to hear from candidates who have gained experience within:

Commercial vehicle dealerships, fleet management, vehicle leasing, vehicle rental, vehicle conversions, automotive parts or aftersales, commercial vehicle service environments, automotive sales or account management or similar automotive related field

Have Market Presence & Industry Awareness

You will also have:

A genuine interest in sales and business development.
A natural Sales Hunter with a view to growing an account book.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to bring energy, confidence and consistency to prospecting, customer contact, research and follow-up activity.
Professionalism and confidence when speaking with customers by phone, video call and in person.
A proactive and self-motivated approach.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
Previous business-to-business sales experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Competitive salary of c.£35,000 DOE
Uncapped commission structure with business expenses paid
25 days holiday plus statutory holidays
Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 1:30pm
