Overview:

This highly-regarded, long-established business is a leader in their field with a strong reputation for quality and excellent customer service backed by an excellent fulfilment and distribution operation from their on site warehousing facility.

As they continue to grow, they have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join them. This is a particularly exciting time to be joining the business as they embark on a warehouse relocation project so you will play a key role in site optimisation, workflow and layout.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day to day running of the warehouse operation, this will include small-scale production / finishing activities.
Deploy warehouse resources effectively, implement clear procedures and drive performance through targeted KPIs with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
Oversee incoming goods, storage, processing and dispatch operations.
Manage stock accuracy, stock turn and aged stock.
Lead, recruit and mentor the warehouse team.
Lead the planning and execution of the warehouse relocation project, optimising the new site layout for space, productivity and safety.
Work closely with the Supply Chain Director on process reviews, efficiency recommendations and cost optimisation.

Person Specification:

A proven warehousing professional with experience in managing a warehousing or distribution operation. This may have included some element of production.
Possess a strong background in logistics, inventory control and stock management systems.
Be experienced leading a team with a hands-on, lead by example management style.
Ideally, experience in managing projects, this may include warehouse site relocations or site layout change projects.
Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
