Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking for an Office Administrator for a permanent position based with our client on Sheffield

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)

Rate of pay is £14.00 per hour.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual who enjoys working in a busy office environment and can provide effective administrative support across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the office, workshop and management teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Providing general administrative support across the business.
Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with enquiries in a professional manner.
Managing emails and responding to correspondence promptly.
Preparing, updating and maintaining company records and documentation.
Data entry and maintaining accurate computerised records.
Raising and processing purchase orders, invoices and other relevant documentation.
Assisting with sales and purchase administration.
Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors.
Processing customer orders and ensuring information is communicated accurately to the relevant departments.
Assisting with stock and material administration where required.
Filing and maintaining both electronic and paper-based records.
Preparing reports, spreadsheets and other administrative documents.
Supporting management with general office duties and administrative tasks.
Coordinating deliveries, collections and other logistical requirements when necessary.
Ensuring all administration is completed accurately and within required timescales.
Maintaining a professional and organised office environment.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within an office administration role, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, fabrication or similar environment.

You will need to be:

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Comfortable working with computerised systems and databases.
Able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Professional and confident when dealing with telephone and email enquiries.
Able to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
Accurate with strong attention to detail.
A reliable team player with a positive attitude.
Capable of working independently and using initiative.
Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
