Description

To take a full and active role in the operation of the Engineering Department.
To take an active role in promoting good Health & Safety practices within the department and site.
To assist with the implementation of all planned preventative maintenance activities.
To be pro-active in seeking remedies to minimise any down time which may affect the operation of the production facility.
To follow safe systems of work for engineering activities.
Liaise with the Production team to ensure any required maintenance or emergency repairs minimise disruption whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
Take a pro-active role in daily, weekly or monthly machinery checks and repairs.
Deal with day-to-day housekeeping issues across the business covering electrical and mechanical equipment.
Adhere to strictest confidentiality standards with regards to all company financial and salary matters.
Attend call outs for serious breakdowns if required.

Shift pattern- 4 on 4 off- 2 days, 2 nights

Profile

A strong technical background in engineering and manufacturing.
Conversant with PLC's.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the engineering field.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering.
