Part-time Payroll Administrator
Location: Guildford
Contract Type: Part-time Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per month (with flexibility)
Annual Salary: £30,000 FTE (£5,613.30 pro-rata with potential for over-time)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-time Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a leading legal practise in Surrey.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will support the Director of People in delivering a comprehensive payroll service in collaboration with the payroll provider, ADP. This position will involve a variety of tasks, ensuring accurate payroll administration and compliance with relevant policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the ADP payroll database, managing starters, leavers, salary increases, and changes in working patterns.
Calculate holiday entitlements, salaries, maternity dates, and sickness pay.
Oversee the firm's self-service absence management system and maintain absence records.
Conduct monthly payroll tasks, including pre-payroll activities, checking and uploading P45s, and liaising with ADP on payroll queries.
Process overtime, bonus, and staff loans accurately, investigating and correcting any discrepancies.
Prepare payroll data for annual reviews, manage pension administration, and assist with ad hoc duties as needed.

To be successful in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

Proven experience in payroll administration, with familiarity with ADP being an advantage.
Strong numeracy skills and a keen attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Initiative and problem-solving skills, combined with discretion and integrity.
