Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

Location: Birmingham/Dudley
Salary: £52,000 + Bonus Scheme
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm) with flexibility to provide on-call support when required.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Residential Home. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

You will lead and develop a dedicated staff team, maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, and create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the home.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team.
Recruit, induct, and retain high-quality staff.
Ensure children receive person-centred care and support.
Manage rotas, staffing levels, and on-call arrangements.
Maintain effective relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
Monitor safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management processes.
Oversee budgets, records, and reporting requirements.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care.

Essential Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) (Required).
At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children's home (Required).
Minimum 5 years' experience working within children's residential care (Preferred)
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
Experience leading and developing staff teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Full UK Driving Licence (Required).

Desirable

Experience managing EBD and/or Learning Disability services.
Experience supporting young people affected by CSE, CCE, Autism, or other complex needs.
Experience contributing to Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
