Subcontract Administrator

Stevenage (Full time in Office, NOT hybrid)

39 Hours p/w

£29k starting salary + excellent benefits package (as below)

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing and production industry, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Subcontract Administrator to join their team based in Stevenage. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in procuring goods and services, managing sub-contract work, and ensuring compliance within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities - As a Subcontract Administrator, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing sub-contract jobs to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs and delivery timelines.
Raising purchase orders for sub-contract work, new equipment, and replacement parts.
Collaborating with the UK tech team to address queries and ensure compliance with sub-contract governance.
Assisting in negotiating prices and recovering associated costs.
Communicating effectively with internal departments such as Laboratory, Logistics, and UK Sales to meet customer objectives.

Skills and Experience Required - To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
The ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
A self-motivated, team-oriented approach.
Capability to work with minimal supervision in a very busy environment.
Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience in a purchasing and/or administration environment isn't necessary but would be an advantage.
