Legal Secretary - Real Estate

Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE
Location: Leeds - hybrid working
Hours: Monday-Friday, flexible working hours available
Type: Full-time, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy Real Estate team. You'll provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to lawyers working across a varied range of commercial and residential property matters, while helping to maintain excellent client relationships.

The Role

You'll provide day-to-day support to fee earners, helping to keep matters organised and ensuring a high standard of service.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing audio and copy typing support across acquisitions, disposals, leases, refinancing and development matters
Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
Assisting with leases, contracts, transfer deeds, reports on title, completion statements and Land Registry applications
Managing electronic files and maintaining accurate document records
Supporting billing, financial reporting and credit control
Diary management and general organisational support for lawyers
Handling basic client enquiries and escalating matters where appropriate
Managing incoming correspondence and prioritising urgent requests
Building strong working relationships with clients and other stakeholders
Providing general administrative support across the team when required

About You

Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential
Experience within Real Estate, Commercial Property or Conveyancing would be advantageous
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital dictation
Fast and accurate typing skills
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Confident working independently and using your own initiative
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to manage a busy workload and meet tight deadlines
Professional, discreet and confident when dealing with confidential information
Friendly, approachable and able to build strong relationships
A collaborative and adaptable team player
