Sales Executive - Construction

Would you like to work for a multinational building materials company as a Sales Executive.

This is a great opportunity £38,000+ depending on experience, quarterly bonus, company car, T & E car and more

The purpose of this role is to develop and grow profitable sales within the one of the largest UK markets (Birmingham) by securing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and delivering sales targets while promoting excellent customer service and supporting the company's commercial objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development - Identify and target new customers and sales opportunities. Generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, and contacting customers utilising existing data base. Develop and implement strategies to increase market share for your respective plants.
Customer Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers. Regularly visit customers to understand their needs and provide solutions. Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Performance - Achieve agreed sales, revenue, and margin targets. Prepare and deliver sales presentations. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
Account Management - Manage key customer accounts to maximise retention and growth. Review customer performance and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities. Manage key customer accounts to maximise retention and growth. Cross Functional Collaboration - Work closely with internal sales, operations, shipping, logistics, and technical teams. Coordinate customer requirements to ensure successful delivery of products and services. Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.

Experience Required

Proven experience in sales, business development, and account management. Ideally within the construction industry
Experience meeting revenue and margin targets.
Ability to negotiate and influence decision-makers.
IT proficient (in house systems) ideally have used SAP previously Interested?
