Temporary Administrative Assistant – School Vaccination Programme

Location: Hertfordshire
Contract: Temporary, September 2026 – January 2027
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + £0.55 per mile mileage paid
Driving: Full UK driving licence and own car essential

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support a clinical team delivering flu vaccination programmes in primary schools across Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, reliable and confident administrator who enjoys a varied role and is comfortable travelling to different locations throughout the working week.

The Role

As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide practical and administrative support to the clinical vaccination team. You will be required to travel to different primary schools across Hertfordshire and help ensure each vaccination session runs smoothly.

Your day will typically begin in Welwyn Garden City, where you will collect the equipment required before travelling to the allocated school.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative and practical support to the clinical vaccination team
Collect vaccination equipment from Welwyn Garden City each morning
Travel to primary schools across Hertfordshire
Assist with the smooth running of vaccination sessions
Help with the organisation and movement of equipment
Maintain a professional and friendly approach when working within school environments
Follow relevant procedures and instructions provided by the clinical team
Support the team with general administrative duties as required

About You

The successful candidate will:

Have previous administrative or customer-facing experience
Be highly organised, reliable and punctual
Be confident travelling to different locations across Hertfordshire
Have excellent communication skills
Be comfortable working in a busy, changing environment
Have a full UK driving licence and access to their own car – essential
Be available to work Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm
Be available from September 2026 through to January 2027
