Artis HR are supporting a well-established organisation in Newton Abbot with the appointment of an Administrator on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for this to be extended.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong general administration experience who is looking to join a busy team and gain valuable exposure to HR and people processes.

You don't need previous HR experience for this role. What's most important is that you're organised, detail-focused, confident using systems and comfortable dealing with people across a business.

What you'll be doing
Supporting the team with a range of day-to-day administration
Processing new starters and leavers and ensuring paperwork is completed
Checking documentation and maintaining accurate records
Updating systems and employee records
Keeping training and other records up to date
Coordinating appointments and other employee processes
Sending communications and following up with managers where needed
Processing references and other administrative requests
Answering queries and directing them to the right person
Supporting with general admin and ad-hoc projects

What we're looking for
Previous experience in a general administration or office-based role
Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
Confident communicating with people at all levels
Comfortable handling confidential information
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own workload
HR experience would be a bonus, but is not essential

What's on offer?
£27,000 salary
6-month fixed-term contract, with extension likely
Full-time, 5 days a week in the office
Based in Newton Abbot
Immediate start available
