Van Home Delivery Driver – Scunthorpe

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting for a Van Home Delivery Driver to join a well-known client based in Scunthorpe.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Van Home Delivery Driver to work for a multi-national organisation, with genuine potential for career progression and long-term opportunities.

As a Van Home Delivery Driver, you will work alongside a Driver's Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. Items delivered include TVs, flat-pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods, and other bulky household items.

Due to the nature and weight of the products you will be delivering, you must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting. The company offers customers a "room of choice" delivery service, and full training will be provided to ensure you can carry out deliveries safely and professionally.

Following a successful application, all new Van Home Delivery Driver candidates will be required to complete a driving assessment and a multiple-choice Highway Code test. This is followed by a full induction on the next working day.

The client operates seven days a week, and you will receive a weekly rota consisting of 5–6 shifts. Weekend work is essential and will be expected. Please only apply if you are available to work both weekends and weekdays.

Shifts start at 6:00am, with typical shift lengths of 8–11 hours.

Pay Rates

£14.24 per hour
Overtime paid at £19.58 per hour after 48 hours worked in a week

After 12 weeks, successful Van Home Delivery Driver candidates may be offered a permanent contract directly with the client. Permanent employees benefit from an award-winning package including:

Requirements

A valid UK driving licence
No more than 6 penalty points
No DD, DR or IN driving convictions
Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods
Good communication and customer service skills
Reliable, organised and punctual
Own steel toe cap safety boots and a high-visibility vest
