The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Customer Account Administrator to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual to join a fast-paced team, managing customer accounts from order placement through to delivery while building strong long-term customer relationships.

Working closely with production, planning and logistics teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, delivered on time and managed to the highest service standards.

The Role

As the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers, you'll oversee the complete order lifecycle while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery.
Liaise with production, planning and logistics teams to ensure on-time fulfilment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts.
Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Monitor order progress, raise customer complaints where required and coordinate resolutions.
Prepare weekly and monthly customer reports.
Maintain accurate customer records using CRM and ERP systems.
Deliver a high standard of customer service while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Previous experience in a Customer Service, Customer Account, Sales Support or Order Management role.
Experience working within a B2B environment.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
SAP experience, particularly MTC and Materials Management modules.
