Out of Hours Team Leader

Location: Luton (Hybrid Working) 2-3 days per week in our Luton office.

Salary: £26,600 - £28,000 pro rata (35 hours per week)

Hours: 35 hours per week on a two-week rota pattern.

Shifts will include a variety of Monday to Friday shifts between 04:00 - 10:00 and 17:00 - 00:30, and weekend shifts between 04:00 - 00:30.

Every other weekend off will be supported where possible, although rotas may vary to meet the needs of the business.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and resilient Out of Hours Team Leader to join our growing team. This is a diverse and rewarding role where you'll lead a team responsible for delivering exceptional support to clients, candidates, and colleagues outside standard business hours.

As the key escalation point for operational issues, you'll ensure excellent service delivery, maintain strong client relationships, support team performance, and help drive continuous improvement across the Out of Hours function. You'll play a vital role in ensuring business continuity and maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead, motivate and support a team of Out of Hours Consultants.
Conduct regular 1-2-1s, coaching sessions and performance reviews.
Monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs.
Support training, development and succession planning within the team.
Lead daily operational reviews and team communications.

Operations & Service Delivery

Oversee the day-to-day running of the Out of Hours operation.
Act as the primary escalation point for urgent operational and client issues.
Manage resource planning and rotas to ensure appropriate coverage.
Ensure a seamless handover between Out of Hours and daytime operations.
Identify and resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.

Client & Compliance Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Provide proactive solutions to meet client staffing requirements.
Ensure all activity complies with company policies, regulations and best practice standards.
Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

We are keen to hear from candidates who can bring:

Previous team leadership, supervisory or management experience.
A strong customer service and client-focused approach.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Experience working within recruitment, staffing, customer operations or a similar fast-paced environment.
Good IT skills and experience using business systems and reporting tools.
A flexible approach to working patterns and business needs.
