Job Title: Customer Service Agent - 3 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £24,784.50 pa

Location: Bishop's Stortford

Term: 3 Month Fixed Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Agent to join a busy and customer-focused team in Bishop's Stortford on a 3-month fixed term contract.

This role would be ideal for someone looking for a short-term opportunity, including those on a gap year, between studies or looking to gain valuable customer service experience within a professional and supportive environment.

Previous customer service experience would be beneficial, and this could be a great opportunity to develop your communication, administration and customer service skills.

Hours & Working Pattern:

5 days per week
Monday to Saturday working pattern
Saturday working on a rota basis, with a weekday off in lieu
3 month fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities for the Customer Service Agent role:

Handle incoming customer enquiries by telephone, email and online platforms.
Provide a high level of customer service and ensure enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally.
Listen carefully to customers, understand their needs and provide appropriate support and guidance.
Handle complaints and challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Aim to resolve customer queries at the first point of contact wherever possible.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
Follow company policies, procedures and customer service standards.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure all daily customer service tasks are completed efficiently.

Ideal Candidate for the Customer Service Agent role:

Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, administration or a similar role.
An excellent telephone manner and professional communication skills.
Patient, calm and courteous with a genuine desire to help customers.
Strong listening skills and the ability to understand customer needs.
Confident using computers, online tools and digital platforms.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Organised, reliable and keen to learn.
A positive team player who can also work independently when required.
