Bright Star Talent is recruiting confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Birmingham.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with experience working with young people, we have flexible opportunities to suit your availability. We offer daily supply, short-term, long-term and permanent roles across a variety of secondary schools.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while making a real difference to students' education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher.
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policies.
Support students with questions relating to the work set.
Ensure a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Record attendance and report any concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson engagement and behaviour.
Uphold all safeguarding and school procedures.

We Are Looking For

Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Confidence leading a classroom independently.
A positive, professional and adaptable approach.
The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
A degree or previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.
