JOB ROLE: School Premises Coordinator

HOURS: Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm (Flex required)

SALARY: £15 - £16 per hour

LOCATION: Burgess Hill Must be a car driver

DURATION: Ongoing

DUTIES INCLUDE;

Working closely with the School Business Manager and Site Team, you will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the school's premises, facilities, health and safety requirements, and contractor activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the school's premises and facilities.
Support the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the school site.
Monitor and manage planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Liaise with contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed to agreed standards.
Assist with health and safety compliance, inspections, and record keeping.
Coordinate site access for visitors, contractors, and external organisations.
Support the management of lettings and community use of school facilities.
Report and respond to maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
Help ensure the school site is safe, secure, and compliant with statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate records relating to premises, facilities, and health and safety.

Person Specification:

Proven experience in premises or facilities management (preferably in an educational setting).
Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead a team and manage contractors effectively.
Practical skills in building maintenance and repair.
Flexibility to respond to out-of-hours emergencies when required.
