To support our ambitious plans, we are creating a new senior leadership position for a Head of Sales & Marketing. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven individual to make a significant impact by developing new business opportunities, opening new international markets, and help shape the future direction of our global sales strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on identifying opportunities, building lasting customer relationships, and delivering sustainable business growth.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and executing a global sales and marketing strategy that delivers profitable growth while strengthening our existing market position.

You will take ownership of business development activities worldwide, identifying new customers, establishing strategic partnerships, and supporting our established international distribution network. Alongside your commercial responsibilities, you will lead and develop a small team of experienced technical laser sales professionals, ensuring they are supported, motivated, and focused on achieving ambitious targets.

National and International travel will form a significant part of this role, requiring regular visits to our Parent Company and its subsidiaries, customers, distributors, industry exhibitions, and emerging markets across Europe, North America, Asia, and other global territories.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a global sales and marketing strategy aligned with the company's long-term growth objectives.
Align marketing and sales to optimise lead generation.
Identify and secure new business opportunities across existing and emerging markets, including product expansion and targeted marketing campaigns.
Open new international markets and establish strategic customer relationships.
Support, develop, and grow our worldwide distributor network.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of technical sales professionals.
Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvements.
Build strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and key accounts.
Represent the company at international trade exhibitions and industry events.
Work closely with Research and Development, Production and Senior Management to ensure customer requirements are met.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify commercial opportunities.
Deliver sales forecasts, budgets, and regular performance reports.

About You

We are looking for a confident and commercially astute senior sales leader with the ambition and determination to drive business growth on a global scale.

You will possess:

A proven track record of developing new business and delivering sustainable sales growth.
Experience managing international distributors and key customer relationships.
Previous experience leading and developing sales teams.
Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills.
The ability to develop strategic sales plans and successfully execute them.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with a genuine passion for winning new business.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.

Experience within the laser, photonics, industrial manufacturing, scientific instrumentation, automation, precision engineering, or other high-technology sectors would be highly advantageous, although candidates from comparable technical B2B industries will also be considered.
