Senior HR Advisor

Leicester City Centre

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced HR professional looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior HR Advisor to join an established and successful business based in Leicester City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is ready to step into a more managerial position, taking ownership of the HR function while leading a small team.

As Senior HR Advisor, you will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies, and support the continued growth of the business. You'll also have responsibility for managing two direct reports, making this the perfect opportunity for someone looking to progress their HR career into management.

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

Essential:

Minimum 5 years' experience within a HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or similar HR Generalist role
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish
Experience overseeing the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable:

Previous experience managing or mentoring HR team members
CIPD Level 5 qualification or above
Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day HR function across the business
Manage and support two direct reports, providing coaching and guidance
Lead all recruitment activity, working with hiring managers to attract and retain top talent
Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and performance issues
Ensure all HR policies and procedures remain compliant with current employment legislation
Manage onboarding, probation reviews, training and employee development initiatives
Support managers with performance management and succession planning
Maintain accurate HR records and produce HR reports where required
Drive continuous improvements across HR processes and employee engagement initiatives
Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all people-related matters

Requirements

As Senior HR Advisor, you will also be expected to:

Be confident making decisions and managing sensitive situations professionally
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Be proactive with a hands-on approach to HR
Have the ability to influence and build positive working relationships across the business
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
