Customer Service Coordinator

Join a leading supplier of ready-mixed concrete, independently operating six plants across Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

The Role

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to pick up the phone?

As a Customer Service Coordinator, you’ll be the primary hub of day-to-day operations. This is a phone-led, high-volume role where no two days are the same. You will be managing inbound queries from customers who need concrete at short notice, keeping in constant contact with a fleet of drivers, and adapting schedules on the fly when plans change.

If you enjoy a buzzing office, problem-solving on your feet, and maintaining a calm head under pressure, this role is for you.

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday–Friday (8am–5pm)

About You:

Strong customer service experience
Logistics, transport or dispatch experience preferred but NOT essential
Confident handling high volumes of phone calls
Calm, organised and able to make decisions under pressure
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Knowledge of Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, or willingness to learn quickly

Key Responsibilities of the Customer Service Coordinator:

Act as the primary point of contact via telephone for customers and drivers.
Schedule and coordinate customer concrete deliveries, often at short notice
Handle driver queries, delays and operational issues
Adjust schedules quickly when plans change; a truck breaks down, a customer changes an order, a job overruns.
Build strong customer relationships
Maintain accurate order and delivery records
Liaise with the Vehicle Workshop Manager regarding maintenance and repairs
