Are you currently working in engineering or manufacturing and looking for a new challenge away from the shop floor?

Perhaps you're a CNC Machinist who can read engineering drawings, a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Applications Engineer, Estimator, Production Engineer, or someone with hands-on engineering experience who would like to develop a career in technical sales.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected engineering business with a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise, and customer service. Supplying precision-engineered components and solutions to customers across a wide range of industries, they have built long-standing relationships through reliability, responsiveness, and technical excellence.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an ambitious Internal Sales Engineer to join their commercial team. Full product and sales training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from a technical or manufacturing-based role into a rewarding customer-facing position.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will act as the link between customers, production teams, suppliers, and the wider business. You'll use your engineering knowledge to understand customer requirements, interpret technical drawings, prepare quotations, and help deliver the best engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing technical quotations and processing customer orders.
Reviewing engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Supporting customers with technical enquiries and product solutions.
Building strong relationships with existing customers.
Following up on quotations and identifying opportunities to win new business.
Liaising with production teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Sourcing materials and specialist manufacturing services when required.
Managing customer projects through the quotation and order process.
Delivering excellent customer service and helping develop long-term customer relationships.
