Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to join the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team at Liverpool City Council on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative and business support to the Special Educational Needs Team.
Process and maintain Education, Health and Care (EHC) documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory timescales.
Coordinate meetings, reviews and appointments, including preparing agendas and distributing relevant paperwork.
Maintain accurate electronic records and update case management systems.
Manage shared inboxes, respond to telephone and email enquiries, and act as the first point of contact for parents, schools and professionals.
Prepare correspondence, reports and other documentation to support the SEN Team.
Liaise with schools, educational settings, health professionals and social care colleagues to support the delivery of SEN services.
Monitor workflow and ensure documentation is processed within required deadlines.
Support data collection, reporting and performance monitoring.
Undertake general administrative duties including filing, scanning, minute taking and document management.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a Business Support, Administration or Customer Service role, ideally within Children's Services, Education or the public sector.
Excellent communication skills
