The role of Retail Security Officer:

Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, contributing to the safety and security of the client's premises and staff
Carrying out company policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager
Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
Understanding and implementing fire and safety evacuation procedures
Conducting yourself at all times in a manner that reflects well on yourself and the company, with full uniform worn and SIA licence clearly displayed

The ideal Retail Security Officer:

SIA Door Supervisor or SIA Security licence required
Aged 18 or over
Confident communicator and team player
Tech-savvy enough to use digital devices for admin and reporting
