Manufacturing Account Manager

Location: Oldbury, office-based
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Circa £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Are you a commercially minded Account Manager within the Manufacturing industry, who enjoys building trusted customer relationships and identifying opportunities for growth?

As they continue to grow, they're looking for a Manufacturing Account Manager who can become a trusted partner to their customers while helping to drive long-term commercial success.

What You'll Be Doing

As the main point of contact for a portfolio of customers, you'll build lasting partnerships, coordinate projects internally and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.

Your responsibilities as the Manufacturing Account Manager will include:

Building strong, long-term relationships with key customer accounts.
Acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, projects and technical requirements.
Developing a thorough understanding of each customer's business and future requirements.
Identifying opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
Preparing quotations, pricing proposals and responses to RFQs.
Working closely with Sales, Operations, Quality and Production teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
Managing customer issues through to resolution, ensuring a positive experience throughout.
Using commercial data and customer insight to develop competitive proposals.
Maintaining accurate account records and customer information.
Developing a strong understanding of the company's specialist coating technologies.
Visiting customer sites and attending industry events when required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, building long-term partnerships and finding solutions that create value.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in Account Management, Sales, Customer Service or Client Relationship Management positions
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities.
A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
Excellent influence and problem-solving abilities.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or technical industries would be advantageous.

Hours: Full-time onsite in Oldbury with a flexible attitude towards working hours.

Monday – Thursday: 08.00-17.00 & Friday: 08.00-13:30
