£25,500 per annum
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm

Key Responsibilities for Through-Hole Soldering Operator

Carry out through-hole soldering and hand soldering of electronic components.
Prepare kits and components for assembly.
Continually monitor the production process to ensure high levels of quality and productivity.
Read and interpret engineering drawings

Job role and scope:

Reporting to the Through Hole Supervisor you will be part of a team of technicians & solderers who will be responsible for all aspects of conventional Through Hole soldering and assembly. On occasion you will be required to support other activities within production including inspection. Candidates must be able to demonstrate soldering aptitude through our trade test and if successful will achieve high levels of output & quality in equal measure. Excellent tactile proficiency with small components will be essential.

Main responsibilities:

• Hand soldering

• Kit preparation

• Continually monitor the process to ensure perfect quality and productivity

• Read and interpret Drawings, Diagrams and Bills of Materials

• Maintain high housekeeping standards

Salary Up to £25,500 pa (dependent on skills & experience)

Working hours Full time is 37 hours per week

Mon to Thurs 07:30 to 16:00 and Fri 07:30 to 12;30

Holiday 25 days plus Bank Holidays (includes Christmas shutdown)

Plus, up to 5 days for long service

Pension scheme Auto-enrolment with People Pensions

(5% 3% company contributions)
